Trip Insurance for Students, Staff and Volunteers

Free One-Day Field Trip Coverage

Covers injuries which occur while students are attending or participating in school-sponsored, one-day field trips which are under the direct and immediate supervision of school personnel.

Coverage and basic limits provided: $1,500 for accidental medical expenses.

Note: Keep a complete record of all names of students who go on each field trip.

Extended Field Trip Coverage for Overnight Travel

Students, staff and volunteers who have no coverage and/or supplements any primary health insurance coverage. Coverage protects the District against possible claims.

Coverage and basic limits provided: $2,500 for accidental death and dismemberment. $2,500 for accidental medical expenses.

How to apply: 4J Staff should purchase coverage prior to the excursion by emailing the Risk Management Office at risk@4j.lane.edu or by calling the office at 790-7673.

Provide the following information:

  • How many students, staff and volunteers need coverage.
  • Dates coverage is needed.
  • Destination of the field trip.

Do nothing more. The school will be billed 25 cents per person per day.

Note: Keep a complete record of all names of people who go on each field trip.

If an accident or liability claim occurs: Contact Risk Management Services at 790-7673 whether a claim is to be filed or not, to notify them of the incident and request a claim form and processing instructions if a claim is to be filed.
