Engineering Academy (CHS)
The Engineering Academy prepares students for careers and/or life skills in manufacturing. This pathway teaches students to read and understand technical drawings (blueprints) to build projects. Second-year students are taught how to safely use tools for career or personal use through a series of projects. The desired end state of the pathway is to have third-year students work with a client to design and build a product in the engineering studio that meets industry standards. Completion of the 3-credit Pathway meets the CHS LEAP graduation requirement and awards completers with a purple cord for graduation. There is no cost, and students keep all their projects.
