They’ll get an email to accept ownership.
🔁 During the Meeting
You can’t officially “transfer ownership” during a Google Meet, but you can make someone else a co-host so they can manage the meeting.
-
Join the Google Meet
-
Click on the Host Controls icon (shield with a lock, bottom right corner)
-
Turn on Host Management
-
Click the People icon (bottom right corner)
-
Find the person you want to give control to
-
Click the three dots next to their name → Select "Add as co-host"
✅ Now they can manage the meeting like muting others, admitting people, and starting recordings.
