Forms and additional information are available from the Lane County Elections Office.
Positions on the Ballot
The Eugene School Board consists of seven members who are elected to serve four-year terms. Board elections occur in May of each odd numbered year. The term of office for board members begins on July 1 immediately following the election.
This year, positions 2, 3 and 6 will be on the ballot. These positions are currently held by Ericka Thessen, Judy Newman and Maya Rabasa, respectively.
4J board members are elected from the district at large, meaning any eligible person who lives within the district boundary may serve in any school board position. To be eligible, a person must be a registered voter in the school district, must have been a resident of the district for at least one year immediately preceding the election, and may not be an employee of the district or any charter school within the district.
