Elementary TeacherVUE: Grade Book Setup > Assignment Types

Assignment types include tests, writing, probes, quizzes, etc. Teacher-created assignment types are editable, but district-created assignment types are not. See Subjects above for creating new assignments and editing options.

  1. Due Date: Some assignment types, such as probes and speaking, are “due” the same date as when the assignment began.
    No means there will be no Due Date to fill in when creating a grade book assignment.
    Yes means there will be a Due Date to fill in when creating a grade book assignment.
  2. LockedDistrict Wide assignment types are locked by default. Teacher-created assignment types cannot be locked.
  3. Assignment Type Color Picker: Allows teachers to select the header color that appears in Grade Book Main when in Assignment mode. It does not impact header color when viewing Standards mode.
  4. Hide My Types: This option allows you to hide teacher-created assignment types in certain classes. No need to have a math assignment types showing up in your Reading class. Note: Teachers have one default class but are able to create additional classes. Additional classes can cause Report Card problems. Be sure to thoroughly read the documentation regarding creating classes at Grade Book > Manage Classes.
