Mark All Complete / Mark All Not Complete

At the end of each grading period, report cards must be marked as complete. If this is not done, everything appears normal for the teacher but the school secretary will feel the repercussions. The secretary runs an electronic copy of the report cards to post to each students’ account in Synergy, and students listed under the “Report Cards Not Complete” column will not print. Further instructions are in this document.

Student_Name

Selecting a student’s name provides access to enter all the Report Card marks for a single student. If you want, instead, to enter marks for a single subject area for all students, see Report Card > Report Card Matrix.

warning logoFill Scores Arrow! Currently, the Fill Scores Arrow to the right of the semester mark overwrites existing scores below the arrow.

warning logoComment Alert! There are two comment boxes on the Student_Name screen: math comments and the half-page teacher comment box on page 4 of the report card. Each text box states it will hold 4000 characters. This is true if all you type are rows of “l” without spaces. A line return, used to create a paragraph, deducts one character from the character count but in fact uses approximately 140 characters. Be sure to print a PDF of your report cards after entering comments for a couple of students to ensure your comments are not truncated. View this document to learn more.
