There are three unions operating in Eugene 4J available for membership, depending on what type of employee you are:

During your new hire orientation, information will be provided by union representatives on what you’re gaining by being represented by a union and how to become a member. If you aren’t sure what type of employee you are, please reference our “What Employee Group Am I In?” page for clarification.
Collective Bargaining Agreements, or CBAs, are the final results of ongoing negotiations between the 4J Eugene School District and our unions. These Agreements dictate many details of your daily life as an employee at 4J. Please ensure to review your union’s agreement upon hire.

4J’s Human Resources cannot negotiate individual pay rates, as salary schedules are determined by union negotiations. These schedules are based upon employees’ prior experience with the work they’ll be doing for the District.

While there is not a union that represents our MAPS employees, we do have a Summary of Salary, Benefits and Other Matters that establishes some of the same information, such as a salary schedule. If you have any questions about the MAPS Summary, you can contact your HR representative.
