Center for Applied Learning and Community Impact (CALCI)

Welcome to CALCI

The Center for Applied Learning and Community Impact (CALCI) is a Career Technical Education center that provides high school students across the 4J district the opportunity to engage in hands-on, community-embedded, multidisciplinary learning, centered around one of several distinct industry themes. Four themes are currently operating or in development (building/construction, digital graphics/video design, engineering, and K12 education), with additional pathways planned for the future.

What makes CALCI unique? Each program offers:

  • A free program, open to all 11th and 12th graders at any 4J high school
  • A one-year deep dive that offers and integrates elective and core academic credits
  • A half-day, hands-on program (Note: Future Build runs full day/every other day)
  • A professional classroom setting in a single location (free transportation provided)
  • Engaging learning projects designed to benefit the broader Eugene community

For more information or inquiries about our programs please fill out the Google Form.
