Summer EBT
4J families with eligible school-aged children can receive a total of $120 per child to buy groceries during the summer when school is out.
Families receiving certain federal benefits, such as SNAP, TANF or OHP (Medicaid), will automatically receive Summer EBT benefits, as will those enrolled in migrant programs, who are experiencing homelessness or who are attending Head Start. Families not receiving federal benefits can apply for Summer EBT benefits, although they must meet the income guidelines to receive them. The simple application will be available starting this summer.
Visit the Summer EBT website to apply by September 3, 2025. When applying, you will be asked to provide your child’s name, school, date of birth and address. You will also be asked to report your household income.
