Eugene School District 4J offers benefit eligible employees several insurance protections in order for you and your family to handle uncertainties such as a long-term illness, disability, and death.

The District provides the following mandatory plans:

• Basic Life Insurance
• Long Term disability
• Accident Insurance
• Workers’ Compensation

The employee can also choose supplemental insurance to fill their need for additional coverage for themselves, their spouse or domestic partner and children.  Supplemental programs for dependents can be elected if the employee elects supplemental life coverage for themselves.

Important things to remember:

• Designate your beneficiaries and update them as life happens.  Marriages, divorces, births, deaths and other major life events are all great times to double check your beneficiaries to ensure they are as you desire.
  • To view or change your beneficiary for your life insurance you can log into your myOEBB account.
• Continuation of coverage after you lose eligibility or retire
  • You have some choices on continuing your life insurance through the district or privately.  You can view your options on The Standard Life Insurance Brochure.
