2018 School Bond Measure

Your tax dollars hard at work. Thank you voters!

In November 2018, voters in Eugene School District 4J resoundingly approved Measure 20-297, the $319.3 million school bond measure to fund improvements at every 4J school and for every 4J student. An $8 million matching grant that the Oregon School Capital Improvement Matching Program awarded to the district supplements the bond funds.

The bond funds will pay for four major school construction projects, three that are complete and a fourth that is nearly finished. Our district has opened two new school buildings, Edison Elementary School and North Eugene High School, and expanded Gilham Elementary School, 4J’s largest elementary school. The new Camas Ridge Elementary School will open in fall of 2024.

Additionally, 4J has used bond funds to repair schools, improve security, update technology and learning materials, support career technical education, among many other projects.
