Amplifying Student Voice
Amplifying Student Voice
Chávez students are an essential part of this process. Between October 12 and October 30, students will participate in developmentally appropriate school-based activities focused on questions such as: What makes our school special? What makes us proud? What should our school name say about who we are?
Students may contribute words, drawings, stories, themes, places, plants, animals, values, and possible names. Student-facing activities will focus on school identity, belonging, values, pride, and the future of the school.
After the activities are complete, the district will prepare a summary of recurring student themes and ideas. No student-identifying information will be posted publicly.
