Rachel Carson Environmental Science Academy
The Rachel Carson Environmental Science Program is a two-year pathway for juniors and seniors interested in natural resources, ecology, and related careers. Learn to assess environmental quality and restore critical habitat in Field Studies weekly. Earn career-related certifications and work with community partners to gain job skills. Take field trips to learn from industry professionals on-site.

Year 1 (11–12)
● Course 1 - Natural Resources CTE A & B (1.0 SS)
● Course 2 - RC Field Studies A & B (1.0 Sci)
● Both courses taken concurrently in ONE class period
Year 2 (12)
● Course 3 - AP Environmental Science CN A & B (1.0 Sci)
● Course 4 - RC Capstone A & B (1.0 FA)
● Take either Course 3 or 4 or both
● RC Year 1 courses required as prerequisites for both Year 2 courses (or instructor approval required)
Selective Courses
May be taken anytime; NOT required; NO prerequisites; Open to ALL (10-12)
